The Houghton County Board of Road Commissioners is accepting applications until 4:00 p.m., June 16, 2023, for the job as described below:
Permanent Equipment Operator at the Ripley Garage beginning of October 2023
QUALIFICATIONS
• Group A Commercial Driver’s License with air brake endorsement is required.

N O T I C E OF
WINTER PARKING PROHIBITION
HOUGHTON COUNTY ROAD COMMISSION
In accordance with Act 300, PA of 1949, there has been issued a Traffic Control Order no.PA 31-08-92 on April 24, 1992, which states that in all of Houghton County, "There shall be no parking on either the roadway or shoulder of any state trunkline highway or county road outside of incorporated cities and villages between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. (local time) from November 1 of any year through April 15 of the succeeding year".
This traffic control order has been made as a result of a traffic engineering investigation jointly with the Michigan Department of Transportation, Michigan Department of State Police and the Houghton County Road Commission.
